Treasurers Report
(a) Although 9 new members joined over the last year, the club membership declined due to existing members not renewing their membership, causing a shortfall in subscription of £255 compared to year 2006/7.
(b) Despite this shortfall in subscriptions the treasurer recommended that the Fee levels for this year be unchanged.
(c) The treasurer stated he would appreciate prompt payment of membership fees, rather than risk members incurring the £5.00 late payment fee, for failing to pay before 31 Jan, 2009.
(d) Due to high heating costs, the treasurer recommended the prudent use of the generator, suggesting it should be switched off if not actually required.
(e) The treasurer requested that all entries in the cash book should clearly indicate, Name, Type of transaction and total cash involved.
